ਮਧੁ ਪਾਨ ਕਢਯੋ ਘਟ ਮਦਿਯ ਮਤੰ ॥
madh paan kadtayo ghatt madiy matan |

The bow and of purely white colour came out, and those intoxicated ones brought out from the ocean a pitcher of honey.

ਗਜ ਬਾਜ ਸੁਧਾ ਲਛਮੀ ਨਿਕਸੀ ॥
gaj baaj sudhaa lachhamee nikasee |
ਘਨ ਮੋ ਮਨੋ ਬਿੰਦੁਲਤਾ ਬਿਗਸੀ ॥੩॥
ghan mo mano bindulataa bigasee |3|

The elephant, horse, nectar and Lakshmi came out and looked splendid like the flash of lightning from the clouds.3.

ਕਲਪਾਦ੍ਰੁਮ ਮਾਹੁਰ ਅਉ ਰੰਭਾ ॥
kalapaadrum maahur aau ranbhaa |
ਜਿਹ ਮੋਹ ਰਹੈ ਲਖ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਸਭਾ ॥
jih moh rahai lakh indr sabhaa |

After Kalapdrum (Elysian, wish-fulfilling tree) and poison, the heavenly damsel Rambha came out, seeing whom, the people of Indrs’s court allured.

ਮਨ ਕੌਸਤਭ ਚੰਦ ਸੁ ਰੂਪ ਸੁਭੰ ॥
man kauasatabh chand su roop subhan |
ਜਿਹੱ ਭੱਜਤ ਦੈਤ ਬਿਲੋਕ ਜੁਧੰ ॥੪॥
jiha bhajat dait bilok judhan |4|

The Kaustubh jewel and the moon also came out, which are remembered by the demons in the battlefield.4.

ਨਿਕਸੀ ਗਵਰਾਜ ਸੁ ਧੇਨ ਭਲੀ ॥
nikasee gavaraaj su dhen bhalee |
ਜਿਹ ਛੀਨ ਲਯੋ ਸਹ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਬਲੀ ॥
jih chheen layo seh saasatr balee |

Kamadhenu (the wish-fulfilling cow) also came out which was seized by the mighty Sahasrajun.

ਗਨ ਰਤਨ ਗਨਉ ਉਪ ਰਤਨ ਅਬੈ ॥
gan ratan gnau up ratan abai |
ਤੁਮ ਸੰਤ ਸੁਨੋ ਚਿਤ ਲਾਇ ਸਬੈ ॥੫॥
tum sant suno chit laae sabai |5|

After reckoning the jewels, now I mention the minor jewels, O saints listen to me attentively.5.

ਗਨ ਜੋਕ ਹਰੀਤਕੀ ਓਰ ਮਧੰ ॥
gan jok hareetakee or madhan |
ਜਨ ਪੰਚ ਸੁ ਨਾਮਯ ਸੰਖ ਸੁਭੰ ॥
jan panch su naamay sankh subhan |

These minor jewels are leech, myrobalan, honey, conch ( panchjanay), ruta, hemp, discus and mace

ਸਸ ਬੇਲ ਬਿਜਿਯਾ ਅਰ ਚੱਕ੍ਰ ਗਦਾ ॥
sas bel bijiyaa ar chakr gadaa |
ਜੁਵਰਾਜ ਬਿਰਾਜਤ ਪਾਨ ਸਦਾ ॥੬॥
juvaraaj biraajat paan sadaa |6|

The later two look impressive in the hands of princes always.6.

ਧਨੁ ਸਾਰੰਗ ਨੰਦਗ ਖੱਗ ਭਣੰ ॥
dhan saarang nandag khag bhanan |
ਜਿਨ ਖੰਡਿ ਕਰੇ ਗਨ ਦਈਤ ਰਣੰ ॥
jin khandd kare gan deet ranan |

The bow and arrow, the bull Nandi and the dagger (which had destroyed the demons) came out of the ocean.

ਸਿਵ ਸੂਲ ਬੜਵਾਨਲ ਕਪਲ ਮੁਨੰ ॥
siv sool barravaanal kapal munan |
ਤ ਧਨੰਤਰ ਚਉਦਸਵੋ ਰਤਨੰ ॥੭॥
t dhanantar chaudasavo ratanan |7|

The trident of Shiva, Barvanal (the fire), Kapil Muni and Dhanwantri came out as the fourteenth jewel.7.

ਗਨ ਰਤਨ ਉਪਰਤਨ ਔ ਧਾਤ ਗਨੋ ॥
gan ratan uparatan aau dhaat gano |
ਕਹਿ ਧਾਤ ਸਬੈ ਉਪਧਾਤ ਭਨੋ ॥
keh dhaat sabai upadhaat bhano |

After counting the greater and minor jewels, now I count the metals and afterwards I shall count the lesser metals.

ਸਬ ਨਾਮ ਜਥਾ ਮਤ ਸਯਾਮ ਧਰੋ ॥
sab naam jathaa mat sayaam dharo |

All these names have been reckoned by the poet Shyam according to his own understanding

ਘਟ ਜਾਨ ਕਵੀ ਜਿਨ ਨਿੰਦ ਕਰੋ ॥੮॥
ghatt jaan kavee jin nind karo |8|

Considering them in small number, poets requested not to slander me.8.

ਪ੍ਰਿਥਮੋ ਗਨ ਲੋਹ ਸਿਕਾ ਸ੍ਵਰਨੰ ॥
prithamo gan loh sikaa svaranan |
