ਗਣੰ ਦੇਵ ਹਰਖੇ ਪ੍ਰਬਰਖੰਤ ਫੂਲੰ ॥
ganan dev harakhe prabarakhant foolan |
The gods were overjoyed in the sky and began to shower floweres
ਹਤਯੋ ਦੈਤ ਦ੍ਰੋਹੀ ਮਿਟਯੋ ਸਰਬ ਸੂਲੰ ॥੭੧੩॥
hatayo dait drohee mittayo sarab soolan |713|
With the killing of this malignant demon, all their agony ended.713.
ਲਵੰ ਨਾਸੁਰੈਯੰ ਲਵੰ ਕੀਨ ਨਾਸੰ ॥
lavan naasuraiyan lavan keen naasan |
All the saints were delighted with the destruction of the demon named Lavan
ਸਭੈ ਸੰਤ ਹਰਖੇ ਰਿਪੰ ਭੇ ਉਦਾਸੰ ॥
sabhai sant harakhe ripan bhe udaasan |
The enemies became depressed,
ਭਜੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਲੈ ਲੈ ਤਜਯੋ ਨਗਰ ਬਾਸੰ ॥
bhajai praan lai lai tajayo nagar baasan |
And fled away after forsaking the city
ਕਰਯੋ ਮਾਥੁਰੇਸੰ ਪੁਰੀਵਾ ਨਵਾਸੰ ॥੭੧੪॥
karayo maathuresan pureevaa navaasan |714|
Shatrughan stayed in the city of Mathura.714.
ਭਯੋ ਮਾਥੁਰੇਸੰ ਲਵੰਨਾਸ੍ਰ ਹੰਤਾ ॥
bhayo maathuresan lavanaasr hantaa |
ਸਭੈ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਗਾਮੀ ਸੁਭੰ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਗੰਤਾ ॥
sabhai sasatr gaamee subhan sasatr gantaa |
After destroying Lavan, Shatrughan ruled over Mathura and all the weapon-wielders gave the blessings of good wishes to him.
ਭਏ ਦੁਸਟ ਦੂਰੰ ਕਰੂਰੰ ਸੁ ਠਾਮੰ ॥
bhe dusatt dooran karooran su tthaaman |
ਕਰਯੋ ਰਾਜ ਤੈਸੋ ਜਿਮੰ ਅਉਧ ਰਾਮੰ ॥੭੧੫॥
karayo raaj taiso jiman aaudh raaman |715|
He ended all the tyrants and ruled over Mathura like Ram ruling over Avadh.715.
ਕਰਿਯੋ ਦੁਸਟ ਨਾਸੰ ਪਪਾਤੰਤ ਸੂਰੰ ॥
kariyo dusatt naasan papaatant sooran |
ਉਠੀ ਜੈ ਧੁਨੰ ਪੁਰ ਰਹੀ ਲੋਗ ਪੂਰੰ ॥
autthee jai dhunan pur rahee log pooran |
On destroying the tyrant, the people of all directions hailed Shatrughan his fame spread in all the directions nicely
ਗਈ ਪਾਰ ਸਿੰਧੰ ਸੁ ਬਿੰਧੰ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੰ ॥
gee paar sindhan su bindhan prahaaran |
ਸੁਨਿਯੋ ਚਕ੍ਰ ਚਾਰੰ ਲਵੰ ਲਾਵਣਾਰੰ ॥੭੧੬॥
suniyo chakr chaaran lavan laavanaaran |716|
And the people came to know with great zeal that demon Lavan had been killed.716.
ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ
ਅਥ ਸੀਤਾ ਕੋ ਬਨਬਾਸ ਦੀਬੋ ॥
ath seetaa ko banabaas deebo |
Now begins the description about the Exile of Sita :
ਗੁਰੂ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ
ਭੁਜੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਤ ਛੰਦ ॥
bhujang prayaat chhand |
It happened then like this and on this side Ram said to Sita with love:
ਭਈ ਏਮ ਤਉਨੈ ਇਤੈ ਰਾਵਣਾਰੰ ॥
bhee em taunai itai raavanaaran |
ਕਹੀ ਜਾਨਕੀ ਸੋ ਸੁਕਥੰ ਸੁਧਾਰੰ ॥
kahee jaanakee so sukathan sudhaaran |
ਰਚੇ ਏਕ ਬਾਗੰ ਅਭਿਰਾਮੰ ਸੁ ਸੋਭੰ ॥
rache ek baagan abhiraaman su sobhan |
ਲਖੇ ਨੰਦਨੰ ਜਉਨ ਕੀ ਕ੍ਰਾਤ ਛੋਭੰ ॥੭੧੭॥
lakhe nandanan jaun kee kraat chhobhan |717|
“A forest may be created, seeing which the brightness of Nandan forest (of heaven) be dimmed.”717.
ਸੁਨੀ ਏਮ ਬਾਨੀ ਸੀਆ ਧਰਮ ਧਾਮੰ ॥
sunee em baanee seea dharam dhaaman |
ਰਚਿਯੋ ਏਕ ਬਾਗੰ ਮਹਾ ਅਭਰਾਮੰ ॥
rachiyo ek baagan mahaa abharaaman |
Listening to the orders of Ram, the abode of Dharma, a very beautiful garden was created
ਮਣੀ ਭੂਖਿਤੰ ਹੀਰ ਚੀਰੰ ਅਨੰਤੰ ॥
manee bhookhitan heer cheeran anantan |
ਲਖੇ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਪਥੰ ਲਜੇ ਸ੍ਰੋਭ ਵੰਤੰ ॥੭੧੮॥
lakhe indr pathan laje srobh vantan |718|
That garden looked like one bedecked with gems and diamonds and before which the forest of Indra felt shy.718.
ਮਣੀ ਮਾਲ ਬਜ੍ਰੰ ਸਸੋਭਾਇ ਮਾਨੰ ॥
manee maal bajran sasobhaae maanan |
ਸਭੈ ਦੇਵ ਦੇਵੰ ਦੁਤੀ ਸੁਰਗ ਜਾਨੰ ॥
sabhai dev devan dutee surag jaanan |
It was thus decorated with jewels, wreaths and diamonds that all the gods had considered it as a second heaven.
ਗਏ ਰਾਮ ਤਾ ਮੋ ਸੀਆ ਸੰਗ ਲੀਨੇ ॥
ge raam taa mo seea sang leene |
ਕਿਤੀ ਕੋਟ ਸੁੰਦਰੀ ਸਭੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਕੀਨੇ ॥੭੧੯॥
kitee kott sundaree sabhai sang keene |719|
Ram Chander went to abide there with Sita and many beautiful women.719.
ਰਚਯੋ ਏਕ ਮੰਦ੍ਰੰ ਮਹਾ ਸੁਭ੍ਰ ਠਾਮੰ ॥
rachayo ek mandran mahaa subhr tthaaman |
ਕਰਯੋ ਰਾਮ ਸੈਨੰ ਤਹਾ ਧਰਮ ਧਾਮੰ ॥
karayo raam sainan tahaa dharam dhaaman |
A beautiful palace was built there where Ram, the abode of Dharma,
ਕਰੀ ਕੇਲ ਖੇਲੰ ਸੁ ਬੇਲੰ ਸੁ ਭੋਗੰ ॥
karee kel khelan su belan su bhogan |
ਹੁਤੋ ਜਉਨ ਕਾਲੰ ਸਮੈ ਜੈਸ ਜੋਗੰ ॥੭੨੦॥
huto jaun kaalan samai jais jogan |720|
Used to sleep and enjoyed at different times in various ways.720.
ਰਹਯੋ ਸੀਅ ਗਰਭੰ ਸੁਨਯੋ ਸਰਬ ਬਾਮੰ ॥
rahayo seea garabhan sunayo sarab baaman |
ਕਹੇ ਏਮ ਸੀਤਾ ਪੁਨਰ ਬੈਨ ਰਾਮੰ ॥
kahe em seetaa punar bain raaman |
After sometimes all the women heard that Sita was pregnant, then Sita said to Ram :
ਫਿਰਯੋ ਬਾਗ ਬਾਗੰ ਬਿਦਾ ਨਾਥ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
firayo baag baagan bidaa naath deejai |
ਸੁਨੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਇਹੈ ਕਾਜ ਕੀਜੈ ॥੭੨੧॥
suno praan piaare ihai kaaj keejai |721|
“I have wandered enough in this forest, O my lord, bid me farewell.721.
ਦੀਯੌ ਰਾਮ ਸੰਗੰ ਸੁਮਿਤ੍ਰਾ ਕੁਮਾਰੰ ॥
deeyau raam sangan sumitraa kumaaran |
ਦਈ ਜਾਨਕੀ ਸੰਗ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਸੁਧਾਰੰ ॥
dee jaanakee sang taa ke sudhaaran |
Ram sent Sita alongwith Lakshman
ਜਹਾ ਘੋਰ ਸਾਲੰ ਤਮਾਲੰ ਬਿਕ੍ਰਾਲੰ ॥
jahaa ghor saalan tamaalan bikraalan |
ਤਹਾ ਸੀਅ ਕੋ ਛੋਰ ਆਇਯੋ ਉਤਾਲੰ ॥੭੨੨॥
tahaa seea ko chhor aaeiyo utaalan |722|
Lakshman left her in the Vihar forest, where there were lawful trees of saal and tamaal.722.
ਬਨੰ ਨਿਰਜਨੰ ਦੇਖ ਕੈ ਕੈ ਅਪਾਰੰ ॥
banan nirajanan dekh kai kai apaaran |
ਬਨੰਬਾਸ ਜਾਨਯੋ ਦਯੋ ਰਾਵਣਾਰੰ ॥
bananbaas jaanayo dayo raavanaaran |
Finding herself in a desolate forest, Sita understood that Ram had exiled her
ਰੁਰੋਦੰ ਸੁਰ ਉਚੰ ਪਪਾਤੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੰ ॥
rurodan sur uchan papaatant praanan |
ਰਣੰ ਜੇਮ ਵੀਰੰ ਲਗੇ ਮਰਮ ਬਾਨੰ ॥੭੨੩॥
ranan jem veeran lage maram baanan |723|
There she began to weep in a fatal sound in a loud voice like a warrior being shot by an arrow on the secret parts.723.
ਸੁਨੀ ਬਾਲਮੀਕੰ ਸ੍ਰੁਤੰ ਦੀਨ ਬਾਨੀ ॥
sunee baalameekan srutan deen baanee |
ਚਲਯੋ ਕਉਕ ਚਿਤੰ ਤਜੀ ਮੋਨ ਧਾਨੀ ॥
chalayo kauk chitan tajee mon dhaanee |
The sage Valmiki heard this voice and forsaking his silence and shouting in wonder went towards Sita
ਸੀਆ ਸੰਗਿ ਲੀਨੇ ਗਯੋ ਧਾਮ ਆਪੰ ॥
seea sang leene gayo dhaam aapan |
ਮਨੋ ਬਚ ਕਰਮੰ ਦੁਰਗਾ ਜਾਪ ਜਾਪੰ ॥੭੨੪॥
mano bach karaman duragaa jaap jaapan |724|
He returned to his home alongwith Sita repeating the name of Sruga with mind, speech and action.724.
