ਬਹੁ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਰਮਾ ਦਈ ਤਿਨ ਬਿਮਲ ਅਮਲ ਮਤਿ ॥

Lakshmi gave him the beauty of the body and pure intellect
ਗਰਮਾ ਸਿਧਿ ਗਨੇਸ ਸ੍ਰਿੰਗ ਰਿਖਿ ਸਿੰਘਨਾਦ ਦੀਯ ॥
garamaa sidh ganes sring rikh singhanaad deey |
Ganesh gave him the miraculous power of garima (heaviness) and the sage Shringi gave the roaring sound of the lion
ਕਰਤ ਅਧਿਕ ਘਮਸਾਨ ਇਹੈ ਘਨ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਹੇਤ ਕੀਯ ॥
karat adhik ghamasaan ihai ghan sayaam het keey |
Ghanshyam gave him the power to wage dreadful war
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ਭੂਪਤਿ ਕੀਯੋ ਸੁਨਿ ਹਲਧਰ ਇਮ ਭਾਖਿਯੋ ॥
eih bidh prakaas bhoopat keeyo sun haladhar im bhaakhiyo |
ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਅਨਾਥ ਸਨਾਥ ਤੁਮ ਬਡੋ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਰਨ ਮਧਿ ਹਯੋ ॥੧੭੨੯॥
brijanaath anaath sanaath tum baddo satru ran madh hayo |1729|
“O Balram! as I have told you, the king took birth like this.” Then Balram said, “You are with the helpless people like us and you have destroyed today a very great enemy.”1729.

ਪੁਨਿ ਬੋਲਿਓ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਚੰਦ ਸੰਕਰਖਨ ਸੋ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਿ ॥
pun bolio brijachand sankarakhan so kripaa kar |
ਜਾਦਵ ਇਕ ਮਤਿ ਮੰਦ ਗਰਬ ਕਰੈ ਬਹੁ ਭੁਜਾ ਕੋ ॥੧੭੩੦॥
jaadav ik mat mand garab karai bahu bhujaa ko |1730|
Then Krishna gracefully said to Balram, “The Yadava forces are under the impact of bad intellect and they are proud of the strength of their arms.1730.

ਜਾਦਵ ਬੰਸ ਮਾਨ ਭਯੋ ਭਾਰੀ ॥
jaadav bans maan bhayo bhaaree |
ਰਾਮ ਸ੍ਯਾਮ ਹਮਰੇ ਰਖਵਾਰੀ ॥
raam sayaam hamare rakhavaaree |
“Yadavas had become proud because of the patronage of Balram and Krishna
ਡੀਠ ਆਨ ਕੋ ਆਨਤ ਨਾਹੀ ॥
ddeetth aan ko aanat naahee |
ਤਾ ਕੋ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਯੋ ਜਗ ਮਾਹੀ ॥੧੭੩੧॥
taa ko fal paayo jag maahee |1731|
For this reason they did not consider anyone equal to them, they have now reaped the reward of this weakness.1731.
ਗਰਬ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਧਰਿ ਜਾਨੋ ॥
garab prahaaree sree dhar jaano |
ਮੇਰੋ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸਾਚੁ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨੋ ॥
mero kahiyo saach kar maano |
“The Lord destroys the ego, consider this saying of mine as trues
ਤਿਹ ਕੇ ਹੇਤ ਭੂਪ ਅਉਤਰਿਯੋ ॥
tih ke het bhoop aautariyo |
ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਨ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ਕਰਿਯੋ ॥੧੭੩੨॥
eih bidh jaan bidhaataa kariyo |1732|
And for the sake of destroying the ego, the providence had incarnated this king.1732.

“This poor king waged such a great war
ਜਾਦਵ ਗਰਬ ਬਿਨਾਸ ਹਿਤ ਉਪਜਾਯੋ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮ ॥੧੭੩੩॥
jaadav garab binaas hit upajaayo sree raam |1733|
The Lord had created him to destroy the pride of the Yadavas.1733.

“The Yadava clan has still not been destroyed and for their destruction, a sage has been born,
ਦੁਖ ਕੈ ਸ੍ਰਾਪ ਮੁਨੀਸੁਰ ਦੈ ਹੈ ॥
dukh kai sraap muneesur dai hai |
