ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨਿ ਆਸ ਪੁਜਾਏ ॥੪॥
dhan dhan guroo gur satigur pooraa naanak man aas pujaae |4|
Hail, hail unto the Guru, the Guru, the Perfect True Guru, who fulfills Nanak's heart's desires. ||4||
ਗੁਰੁ ਸਜਣੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੇਲਿ ਹਰੇ ਜਿਤੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਾ ॥
gur sajan meraa mel hare jit mil har naam dhiaavaa |
O Lord, let me meet the Guru, my best friend; meeting Him, I meditate on the Lord's Name.
ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਸਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਪੂਛਾਂ ਕਰਿ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾਂ ॥
gur satigur paasahu har gosatt poochhaan kar saanjhee har gun gaavaan |
I seek the Lord's sermon from the Guru, the True Guru; joining with Him, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਸਦ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਮਨੁ ਜੀਵੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਣਿ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
gun gaavaa nit nit sad har ke man jeevai naam sun teraa |
Each and every day, forever, I sing the Lord's Praises; my mind lives by hearing Your Name.
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਤੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਤੁ ਵੇਲੈ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਇ ਜੀਉ ਮੇਰਾ ॥੫॥
naanak jit velaa visarai meraa suaamee tith velai mar jaae jeeo meraa |5|
O Nanak, that moment when I forget my Lord and Master - at that moment, my soul dies. ||5||
ਹਰਿ ਵੇਖਣ ਕਉ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਈ ਲੋਚੈ ਸੋ ਵੇਖੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਵਿਖਾਲੇ ॥
har vekhan kau sabh koee lochai so vekhai jis aap vikhaale |
Everyone longs to see the Lord, but he alone sees Him, whom the Lord causes to see Him.
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥
jis no nadar kare meraa piaaraa so har har sadaa samaale |
One upon whom my Beloved bestows His Glance of Grace, cherishes the Lord, Har, Har forever.
ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਮਾਲੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ॥
so har har naam sadaa sadaa samaale jis satagur pooraa meraa miliaa |
He alone cherishes the Lord, Har, Har, forever and ever, who meets my Perfect True Guru.
ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਇਕੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਰਲਿਆ ॥੬॥੧॥੩॥
naanak har jan har ike hoe har jap har setee raliaa |6|1|3|
O Nanak, the Lord's humble servant and the Lord become One; meditating on the Lord, he blends with the Lord. ||6||1||3||

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਅਤਿ ਊਚਾ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ ॥
at aoochaa taa kaa darabaaraa |
His Darbaar, His Court, is the most lofty and exalted.
ਅੰਤੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰਾ ॥
ant naahee kichh paaraavaaraa |
It has no end or limitations.
ਕੋਟਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਲਖ ਧਾਵੈ ॥
kott kott kott lakh dhaavai |
Millions, millions, tens of millions seek,
ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਮਹਲੁ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੧॥
eik til taa kaa mehal na paavai |1|
but they cannot find even a tiny bit of His Mansion. ||1||
ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਕਉਣੁ ਸੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਲਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
suhaavee kaun su velaa jit prabh melaa |1| rahaau |
What is that auspicious moment, when God is met? ||1||Pause||
ਲਾਖ ਭਗਤ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਆਰਾਧਹਿ ॥
laakh bhagat jaa kau aaraadheh |
Tens of thousands of devotees worship Him in adoration.
ਲਾਖ ਤਪੀਸਰ ਤਪੁ ਹੀ ਸਾਧਹਿ ॥
laakh tapeesar tap hee saadheh |
Tens of thousands of ascetics practice austere discipline.
ਲਾਖ ਜੋਗੀਸਰ ਕਰਤੇ ਜੋਗਾ ॥
laakh jogeesar karate jogaa |
Tens of thousands of Yogis practice Yoga.
ਲਾਖ ਭੋਗੀਸਰ ਭੋਗਹਿ ਭੋਗਾ ॥੨॥
laakh bhogeesar bhogeh bhogaa |2|
Tens of thousands of pleasure seekers seek pleasure. ||2||
ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਵਸਹਿ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਥੋਰਾ ॥
ghatt ghatt vaseh jaaneh thoraa |
He dwells in each and every heart, but only a few know this.
ਹੈ ਕੋਈ ਸਾਜਣੁ ਪਰਦਾ ਤੋਰਾ ॥
hai koee saajan paradaa toraa |
Is there any friend who can rip apart the screen of separation?
ਕਰਉ ਜਤਨ ਜੇ ਹੋਇ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨਾ ॥
krau jatan je hoe miharavaanaa |
I can only make the effort, if the Lord is merciful to me.
ਤਾ ਕਉ ਦੇਈ ਜੀਉ ਕੁਰਬਾਨਾ ॥੩॥
taa kau deee jeeo kurabaanaa |3|
I sacrifice my body and soul to Him. ||3||
ਫਿਰਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਸੰਤਨ ਪਹਿ ਆਇਆ ॥
firat firat santan peh aaeaa |
After wandering around for so long, I have finally come to the Saints;
ਦੂਖ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਸਗਲ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ॥
dookh bhram hamaaraa sagal mittaaeaa |
all of my pains and doubts have been eradicated.
ਮਹਲਿ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਭੂੰਚਾ ॥
mehal bulaaeaa prabh amrit bhoonchaa |
God summoned me to the Mansion of His Presence, and blessed me with the Ambrosial Nectar of His Name.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਊਚਾ ॥੪॥੧॥
kahu naanak prabh meraa aoochaa |4|1|
Says Nanak, my God is lofty and exalted. ||4||1||

ਧਨੁ ਸੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਕਰਣਾ ॥
dhan su velaa jit darasan karanaa |
Blessed is that time, when the Blessed Vision of His Darshan is given;
ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਣਾ ॥੧॥
hau balihaaree satigur charanaa |1|
I am a sacrifice to the feet of the True Guru. ||1||
ਜੀਅ ਕੇ ਦਾਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ॥
jeea ke daate preetam prabh mere |
You are the Giver of souls, O my Beloved God.
ਮਨੁ ਜੀਵੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਮੁ ਚਿਤੇਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
man jeevai prabh naam chitere |1| rahaau |
My soul lives by reflecting upon the Name of God. ||1||Pause||
ਸਚੁ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
sach mantru tumaaraa amrit baanee |
True is Your Mantra, Ambrosial is the Bani of Your Word.
ਸੀਤਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸੁਜਾਣੀ ॥੨॥
seetal purakh drisatt sujaanee |2|
Cooling and soothing is Your Presence, all-knowing is Your gaze. ||2||
ਸਚੁ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਤਖਤਿ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ॥
sach hukam tumaaraa takhat nivaasee |
True is Your Command; You sit upon the eternal throne.
ਆਇ ਨ ਜਾਵੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥੩॥
aae na jaavai meraa prabh abinaasee |3|
My eternal God does not come or go. ||3||
ਤੁਮ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨ ਦਾਸ ਹਮ ਦੀਨਾ ॥
tum miharavaan daas ham deenaa |
You are the Merciful Master; I am Your humble servant.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਭਰਪੁਰਿ ਲੀਣਾ ॥੪॥੨॥
naanak saahib bharapur leenaa |4|2|
O Nanak, the Lord and Master is totally permeating and pervading everywhere. ||4||2||

ਤੂ ਬੇਅੰਤੁ ਕੋ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਜਾਣੈ ॥
too beant ko viralaa jaanai |
You are infinite - only a few know this.
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕੋ ਸਬਦਿ ਪਛਾਣੈ ॥੧॥
gur prasaad ko sabad pachhaanai |1|
By Guru's Grace, some come to understand You through the Word of the Shabad. ||1||
