ਫਰੀ ਧੋਪ ਖਾਡੇ ਲਏ ਫਾਸ ਐਸੀ ॥

ਮਨੌ ਨਾਰਿ ਕੇ ਸਾਹੁ ਕੀ ਜੁਲਫ ਜੈਸੀ ॥
manau naar ke saahu kee julaf jaisee |
ਕਰੀ ਮਤ ਕੀ ਭਾਤਿ ਮਾਰਤ ਬਿਹਾਰੈ ॥
karee mat kee bhaat maarat bihaarai |
ਜਿਸੇ ਕੰਠਿ ਡਾਰੈ ਤਿਸੈ ਐਚ ਮਾਰੈ ॥੫੧॥

ਟੂਕ ਟੂਕ ਰਨ ਮੈ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਪਰੇ ॥
ttook ttook ran mai hvai pare |
Fighting, and fighting hard, when they fell being cut in combats,
ਤਬ ਬਿਕ੍ਰਮ ਹਸਿ ਬੈਨ ਉਚਾਰੋ ॥
tab bikram has bain uchaaro |
ਕਾਮਸੈਨ ਸੁਨੁ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਹਮਾਰੋ ॥੫੨॥

Bikrim came forward said smilingly, ‘Kam Dev, now listen to me,(52)

‘Oh, fool, handover this prostitute to that Brahmin.
ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਜੁਝਾਰਤ ਕ੍ਯੋ ਕਟਕ ਏਕ ਨਟੀ ਕੇ ਹੇਤ ॥੫੩॥
brithaa jujhaarat kayo kattak ek nattee ke het |53|
‘Why for the sake of a prostitute, get your army killed.’(53)

pun bikram has yahai ucharee |
Kam Sen did not heed and Bikrim said,
ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਲਰੈ ਕਪਟ ਤਜਿ ਦੋਈ ॥
ham tum larai kapatt taj doee |
ਕੈ ਜੀਤੇ ਕੈ ਹਾਰੈ ਕੋਈ ॥੫੪॥
kai jeete kai haarai koee |54|
‘Whether one wins or losses, let us now fight.(54)
ਅਪਨੀ ਅਪਨੇ ਹੀ ਸਿਰ ਲੀਜੈ ॥
apanee apane hee sir leejai |
ਔਰਨ ਕੇ ਸਿਰ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਨ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
aauaran ke sir brithaa na deejai |
‘Let us finish our quarrel ourselves, why roll the heads of others. ‘For
ਬੈਠਿ ਬਿਗਾਰਿ ਆਪੁ ਜੋ ਕਰਿਯੈ ॥
baitth bigaar aap jo kariyai |
ਨਾਹਕ ਔਰ ਲੋਕ ਨਹਿ ਮਰਿਯੈ ॥੫੫॥
naahak aauar lok neh mariyai |55|
Our own sake, we should not make others to lose their lives.’(55)

ਕਾਮਸੈਨ ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਉਠਿਯੋ ਰਿਸ ਖਾਇ ॥

Listening to this, Kam Sen flew into the rage,
ਅਪਨੌ ਤੁਰੈ ਧਵਾਇ ਕੈ ਬਿਕ੍ਰਮ ਲਯੋ ਬੁਲਾਇ ॥੫੬॥
apanau turai dhavaae kai bikram layo bulaae |56|
Sprinting his horse, he challenged Bikrim.(56)
ਕਾਮਸੈਨ ਐਸੇ ਕਹਿਯੋ ਸੂਰ ਸਾਮੁਹੇ ਜਾਇ ॥
kaamasain aise kahiyo soor saamuhe jaae |
Kam Sen Addressed the Soldiers like this,
ਝਾਗਿ ਸੈਹਥੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਣ ਕਰੈ ਤੌ ਤੂ ਬਿਕ੍ਰਮ ਸਰਾਇ ॥੫੭॥
jhaag saihathee brin karai tau too bikram saraae |57|
‘I will consider you as Raja Bikrim, if you can injure me with the sword.’(57)
ਝਾਗਿ ਸੈਹਥੀ ਪੇਟ ਮਹਿ ਚਿਤ ਮਹਿ ਅਧਿਕ ਰਿਸਾਇ ॥
jhaag saihathee pett meh chit meh adhik risaae |
ਆਨਿ ਕਟਾਰੀ ਕੋ ਕਿਯੋ ਕਾਮਸੈਨ ਕੋ ਘਾਇ ॥੫੮॥
aan kattaaree ko kiyo kaamasain ko ghaae |58|
ਐਸੇ ਕੌ ਐਸੋ ਲਹਤ ਜਿਯਤ ਨ ਛਾਡਤ ਔਰ ॥
aise kau aiso lehat jiyat na chhaaddat aauar |
Tlien they struck each other with force,
ਮਾਰਿ ਕਟਾਰੀ ਰਾਖਿਯੋ ਜਿਯਤ ਰਾਵ ਤਿਹ ਠੌਰ ॥੫੯॥
maar kattaaree raakhiyo jiyat raav tih tthauar |59|
And, brandishing his sword he killed the Raja.(59)

bhaat bhaat kee bajee badhaaee |
After the victory, he assembled his army and exchanged felicities.
ਦੇਵਨ ਰੀਝਿ ਇਹੈ ਬਰੁ ਦਯੋ ॥
devan reejh ihai bar dayo |
ਬ੍ਰਣੀ ਹੁਤੋ ਅਬ੍ਰਣ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਗਯੋ ॥੬੦॥
branee huto abran hvai gayo |60|
The gods showered their blessing and Bikrim’s injuries Were diminished.(60)

Disguising himself as Brahmin priest, he went there,
ਜਹ ਕਾਮਾ ਲੋਟਤ ਹੁਤੀ ਲੈ ਮਾਧਵ ਕੋ ਨਾਮ ॥੬੧॥
jeh kaamaa lottat hutee lai maadhav ko naam |61|
Where Kama was rolling in remembrance of Madhwan.

maadhav khet het tav rahiyo |
Raja (Bikrim) told her that Madhwan had died in the war.
ਸੁਨਤ ਬਚਨ ਤਬ ਹੀ ਮਰਿ ਗਈ ॥
sunat bachan tab hee mar gee |
ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਲੈ ਇਹੈ ਖਬਰਿ ਦਿਜ ਦਈ ॥੬੨॥
nrip lai ihai khabar dij dee |62|
Hearing the news she immediately breathed her last and then Raja went to give the news to Brahmin.(62)
ਯਹ ਬਚ ਜਬ ਸ੍ਰੋਨਨ ਸੁਨਿ ਲੀਨੋ ॥
yeh bach jab sronan sun leeno |
ਪਲਕ ਏਕ ਮਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਹਿ ਦੀਨੋ ॥
palak ek meh praaneh deeno |
When he (Brahmin) heard this news through his own ears, he, instantly, expired.
